The ACHA is registered as a Foundation and operates out of St. Maarten as it’s logistical hub in the Caribbean and in Nigeria West Africa. Through this modality outreach to other Caribbean and African countries, it will facilitate opportunities to further contribute to improvements in the quality of lives of thousands of particularly youth and women.
The Africa Caribbean Heritage Alliance (ACHA) aims to promote socio-economic and cultural developments between Africa and the Caribbean. It will faccilitate an environment for the collective celebration of the multicultural diversity of the Caribbean with the African ancestry sharing histories in culture, folklore, music, dance, arts, crafts, food, tourism and business opportunities. Africa, the vibrant continent that has awed and inspired the world and which many countries including St. Maarten shares a rich cultural heritage, is widely reckoned today a land of growing economic potential and enterprise.
Given the shared histories of the Caribbean people with Africa and the increasing numbers of African nationals working and living in St. Maarten/St. Martin, ACHA will join other similar minded organizations and individuals to pave the way for greater engagement with St. Maarten. ACHA would provide opportunities to explore further collaborative efforts and share economic and cultural experiences that depict the similarities and yet unique differences between St. Maarten and featured African countries. Through ACHA, St. Maarteners would be able to feel, see, learn and taste aspects of the continent right here in Philipsburg. St. Maarteners can also participate in exchanges to African countries. Likewise, African counterparts will be enabled to do more business with the Caribbean, Latin America and Europe utilizing St. Maarten as a regional hub.
